The challenge

Traditional auto parts marketplaces throw thousands of generic categories together — accessories, tools, everything — making it hard for repair shops and buyers to find the right part for the right vehicle. The result: endless searching, wrong purchases, and constant returns.

AutoPars needed a platform focused exclusively on the auto parts ecosystem, with a vehicle compatibility system that matched every part to the correct make, model, and year — something no general-purpose marketplace offered natively.

The solution

I built a full B2B2C marketplace from scratch with three access layers:

For buyers (repair shops and consumers)

  • Catalog with vehicle compatibility filtering, make → model → year
  • Browse by vehicle system: engine, suspension, brakes, electrical, cooling, body
  • Advanced search: by SKU, name, or OEM code
  • New or used part labeling on every listing
  • Seller location for shipping cost calculation
  • Favorites and shopping cart

For sellers (businesses and individuals)

  • Product management panel with SKU, price, stock, and status
  • Low stock alerts and paused item controls
  • Sales history per product
  • Exact vehicle compatibility registration
  • Listing of new and used parts

For platform administration

  • Full dashboard with total GMV, platform revenue, and percentage growth
  • Seller management: active sellers, open disputes, and pending withdrawals
  • Monthly GMV chart and order distribution by status
  • Top sellers ranking by volume and revenue
  • User, product, financial, and settings management

Integrations

  • Asaas: payment processing and split between platform and seller
  • Melhor Envio: automated shipping quotes and label generation
  • Resend: transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping status)
  • Z-API: WhatsApp notifications for sellers and buyers
  • Cloudflare Stream: product video hosting and optimized images

Astro landing page

Since the marketplace is a React SPA (client-side rendering), organic indexing is limited. The Astro LP solves that: static HTML, Lighthouse 95+, and content optimized to rank. It works as the organic entry point to the marketplace and a showcase for new sellers and investors.

PWA (Progressive Web App)

Installable app on sellers’ phones for managing products, orders, and real-time notifications. Training videos delivered separately for onboarding new sellers.
